For Professionals and Partner Organisations
TishAbility provides flexible, non-regulated, relationship-based support that helps translate assessed needs, existing professional recommendations, family wishes and agreed outcomes into practical delivery in everyday life.
TishAbility works as part of an integrated support network, bringing together professionals, family knowledge, service coordination and the person's own wishes to deliver practical support in everyday life.
Who We Are
TishAbility is a UK Community Interest Company providing flexible, non-regulated, relationship-based support for children, young people, adults and families with additional support needs. We work across home, community, education-related and partner settings to support life skills, communication, participation, sensory and wellbeing access, access to therapeutic and wellbeing activities, Direct Payment implementation, Personal Health Budget coordination and workforce organisation.
Our work is particularly suited to people and families where standard services are difficult to access, where support requires trusted relationships, or where a package needs practical coordination to become sustainable. We work alongside regulated providers and statutory services, not as a replacement but as a complement to them.
Our Services
We provide a comprehensive range of non-regulated support services including:
- • Community access and social participation support
- • Communication and AAC support
- • Life skills development and practical independence
- • Therapeutic, sensory and wellbeing access
- • Supported access to person-centred breaks and meaningful experiences
- • SEND, EHCP and education signposting for families
- • Budget admin and signposting support
- • Workforce admin and coordination
Scope & Clarity
We are transparent about what we do and don't provide. Our services are:
- ✓ Non-regulated: We do not provide regulated personal care, nursing care, clinical treatment or other regulated healthcare activities
- ✓ Flexible: Support is tailored to individual and family needs, adaptable to local agreed funding arrangements
- ✓ Partnership-based: We work alongside families, professionals, regulated providers and other services
- ✓ Quality-focused: We work with clear safeguarding, quality, record-keeping and governance processes appropriate to a non-regulated support organisation

Person-Centred Approach
Our genuinely person-centred approach means support is designed around individual needs and preferences, not service convenience.
Community-Focused Purpose
As a Community Interest Company, any surplus is reinvested into safe, sustainable non-regulated support, staff training, safeguarding, continuity of support and wider community benefit.
Coordinated Delivery
We coordinate support across multiple providers and professionals to ensure joined-up, integrated service delivery.
Transparent Governance
We operate with robust safeguarding, quality assurance and governance frameworks appropriate to non-regulated support delivery.
How We Work With Professionals & Partner Organisations
TishAbility can work alongside families, professionals and partner organisations where practical non-regulated support is needed to help a person access community life, activities, wellbeing opportunities, family experiences, life skills and supported participation. Any arrangement must be suitable for TishAbility's non-regulated remit and agreed around the individual's identified outcomes, support needs, safety and preferences.
Our offer is particularly useful where a person's support requires trusted relationships, communication-aware practice, sensory-aware support, community access, life skills development, practical coordination, support worker coordination or implementation of existing professional recommendations.
We work flexibly and can support through various arrangements including partnership agreements, professional enquiries, outcome-focused support, practical implementation, non-regulated support delivery, and family and professional partnerships.
Quality & Accountability
We are committed to quality and accountability:
- ✓ Robust safeguarding policies and staff vetting (DBS, references)
- ✓ Quality monitoring and regular audits
- ✓ Complaints procedures and service user feedback mechanisms
- ✓ Staff training in relevant areas (safeguarding, communication, person-centred practice)
- ✓ Data protection and privacy compliance (GDPR)
- ✓ Transparent reporting to professionals, families and partner organisations
For Agencies & Referral Partners
TishAbility works alongside other agencies, regulated providers, professionals and support organisations. We are partners in the wider support system, not competitors to existing services.
If you are a regulated provider, support agency, school, NHS professional, social worker, therapist or other organisation working with people with additional support needs, TishAbility can support partnership working through:
- • Implementing your existing professional recommendations and support plans in everyday environments
- • Providing non-regulated support that complements your regulated services
- • Supporting communication and coordination across multiple professionals and providers
- • Bridging gaps where families struggle to translate recommendations into practical life
- • Providing trusted relationships and continuity of support
- • Supporting families in accessing, understanding and coordinating their budgets and services
How to Make an Enquiry
Professionals, partner organisations and families can make partnership enquiries to TishAbility through our contact process. We work best when there is clear communication about what support is needed, what the person's wishes are, what their family understands about their needs, and what role you'd like us to play in their wider support network.
Whether you're a professional, organisation, or family member, we welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can support your local needs and work alongside your existing provision.
